How to Protect Your Car Without a Garage

August 15, 2020

Having a nice garage to park your car in every night would be wonderful, but what do you do when you don’t have one? Everyone enjoys the first day after a wash so how are you supposed to prolong that shine without coverage? Here are 4 ways to keep your car protected from the elements when you have to park outside.

1. Keep. It. Waxed: The best thing you can do for your paint, it to keep it protected! Regular waxing helps to keep contaminants from setting into the paint. Waxing 2-3 times a year will help keep your paint looking cleaner, longer!

2. Invest in a sunshade: Sunshades will not only help the interior of your car feel cooler and more comfortable but it will also help protect the inside from sun damage, or fading. The plastic on the dashboard absorbs a lot of heat on a hot day parked in the sun, which can cause discoloration.

3. Keep your car clean: Regularly washing your car will help keep debris and dirt from building up on the paint.

4. Be careful of where you park: Although that shady spot may look appealing but leaves, stick and tree sap can fall on your car and damage the paint.

We can’t always park in a garage but we can help keep our cars clean and protected to keep our cars in great condition and to protect our investment.
